Never been. Check with Craig as I think he went. Bryan Ashley (5150) might know. Sorry I couldn't help.

It's ok, it's a little pricey for my taste. I'll attend because I need to hand out flyers for my show.

You know, I never noticed the admission fee until you mentioned. Would be about $30 for just me & the wife, which includes $5 parking. I was looking at another flyer for a show in Lebanon that's $15/person general admission. I noticed it's the same for Scrapin the Coast down in Biloxi, MS. Yet I've been to the 3k (+) participant entry "Run to the Sun" in Myrtle Beach, as well as 7k (+) participant entry "Cruisin the Coast" on the MS gulf, both of which didn't cost me anything as a spectator.

Yea, but Goodguys has upwards of 2500 vehicles and is pre 72. You can't see it all in one day if you stop to look at everything. This may have a couple hundred and who knows what they'll let in. You have to submit your vehicle to be approved. For awhile there it was 75% ricers. I think it's gotten better.

Don't know if the infamous pink panther bronco II still comes. That was fun to just stand there and shake your head at.

Looks like Nashville GG is $17 if you order them online during pre-sale, or they're $20 at the gate. I went for the first time to the Spring Goodguys in Charlotte last year. I think we used some kind of $2 off/person discount I came across on the speedway's website. I can understand a reasonable fee to get into the swap meet I guess, but just to browse over cars/trucks, some of the prices are too much IMO. IIRC, Super Chevy isn't cheap either. At least there you have the entertainment of the drag racing.

I still prefer CTC, 7500 registered last year
and No Spectator fees, GG is a good show,
just over priced for me & why I quit going.

This year will be my 7th in a row for CTC

Yes, but I only have to drive 20 minutes and not 7 hours. Even with $2.20 a gallon it's still a better deal to pay the $18. I'll get down there one day.

It's definitely worth it if you've never been. It would be cool to get a group together & convoy down one year, & I'm sure there are many who already do that. I had never been until '06 I think. Heck, I'd never been to the coast down there until then, & I'm from MS. I attended the next 3 years, when we lived in Pensacola. After a temporary move back to MS, I went in '10 when I met the LA Classic Truck Club guys. I haven't been able to make it back since, because we were too far away in SC. It's a goal of mine to make it back down this year with my '66. My dad has never been & really wants to go too.

Looks like I probably won't get a chance to make the Hunter's show even if I wanted to. Going out of town Saturday, & we're scheduled to view some houses on Sunday. I hope I get a chance to make GG Nashville. I really enjoyed the one in Charlotte, although I never made it past the swap meet. It's no lie when they said you can't do it in a day!

Mandi's job is the busiest in October and she can't take off. If I get to go, it will be with some buddies. Which isn't out of the question.

Likaroc,

Geography always plays a huge part in shows.

If you are close like 5150 to Nashvegas then
I would go to GG at least one time, like he
said 2500+ and nothing newer than 72.

It's just too expensive for me now since
I'd have to enter mine, hotel, gas, food
etc.... Plus 2 days off if it's on my work
weekend. I can only do so many events
a year, and there are others I won't skip.

Did you make it? Just curious how it turned out. I know Saturday's weather was pretty crappy but Sunday was quite nice.

Pretty bad, it gets smaller and smaller. Handed our some fliers, talk to some buddies, and was out of there in 75 minutes.
