CRAPPY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worked all night and had to fill a few machines this morning before I could go home. I'm off tonight so I'm just going to try to stay up, it's the only way I have a day off. Thought I'd drive the blazer around and pick up some more door prizes for the cruise-in. Blazer had other ideas. Died on me at a light and I was able to coast over in the Kroger parking lot. Two hours later with no tools and 4 trips to O'Reilly's it was the ignition module. So I'm home now trying to enjoy the rest of my "day off".

I know, it wouldn't have been as bad if I'd only had tools. I mean let's face it, it's a 2 minute job at best. Once I had tools and the part that's pretty much what it took. It was a hot one too, you know fat guys don't like the heat.

Tomorrow is the first Friday in May. I haven't worked the first Friday in May for the past severeal years because I would be heading to Maggie Valley or Newport (last year) to hang out w/ you guys in the terrential downpour that has plagued the GM truck Nats for the past several years. This year I am taking Friday off to drive to Baton Rouge La to pick up a 4x4 frame for my 66 project.

For poops and smiles I checked out this weekend's forcast for Maggie Valley and of course the weather looks great. It figures.

I am running out of pants to wear and not because I am wearing them out so that at least makes me a candidate.

Nubomb, Isn't that the way it always goes? Hope you have a good trip.

Replaced all 4 sets of brake pads on the 99 Trailblazer
Yesterday. They started to grind when I hit 200,000 &
I held out to 202,000. Out of the 8 pads only 1 made it
down to the Metal and it was just barely so the Rotors
still looked good. (BTW - this was the OEM Set)

What Craig didn't tell us is how many left shoes they went through. Now I understand why he had to replace the driver door hing bushings so often. Open door place left foot out and on ground till vehicle comes to a stop.

What he failed to tell us that because of his Flinstone's style of braking he's gone through 47 pairs of shoes in that same time frame. :haha: :haha:
