 Whatcha think.
Some of the old members know that I have a 72 Nova drag car that has been sitting since Nov. 2007. With the economy the way it is selling has not been possiable. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/show ... p?t=413030 I ran across this on the big board and gave him a call and suggested a trade my nova for his truck with a 355 engine that is not listed in the CL. He is going for it with us meeting half way (just east of Knoxville Tn. at exit 410) and swapping out. Just want honest opinions.

 Re: Whatcha think.
So are you keeping the BBC out of the Nova? His is being sold as a roller + the 355 right? Keeping it or make it turn key and then sell? That looks like a very nice deal for what it is. I say go for it if that's what you really want!

 Re: Whatcha think.
The BB was destroyed so he is getting the nova rolling. (no motor or trans) He is getting the headers that were in the car. I'm getting his truck rolling plus a built 355 sbc. What I want don't matter at this point. I can't see me ever being able to run the nova again. I'm looking at pro streeting this truck, maybe a trip or two to Gleason or Jackson and try to sell it. I feel like this is the better option all things considered.

 Re: Whatcha think.
If you are doing it to turn it and make some money, I think it's a good idea. If you are keeping it I don't think it's a good idea.

 Re: Whatcha think.
Thanks guys. Just got off the phone with the young man and it's on. We are going to meet at exit 412 on I 40 (just east of Knoxville) early noonish next Sat. to swap out. I think It will be easier to sell than the Nova. I'm stoked!!

 Re: Whatcha think.
Tell her that I'll buy dinner for you two at her choice of eateries when you get back. We could leave early and should be back late afternoon. No big deal as Dennis is able to go but he wouldn't mind staying home either. Let me know.

ROADTRIP. The trailer is hooked to the mighty whitey and the Nova is chained down tight. Will leave at 4am and hope to make exit 412 by 11am eastern time. Full report when I get back.

 Re: Whatcha think.
Made the trip just fine. Dawn is an excellent driver so it was a $100 well spent. Pics are in Photobucket. Will post and give details later.

 Re: Whatcha think.
Wrap up. Alright well I need to get the truck sold so I am willing to throw in a fresh 355 sbc with headman elite headers and a B&M holeshot convertor it has a comp cam in it ultra gold comp roller rockers holley intake aluminum pulleys its a nice street motor and it went 9.0 in the 8th mile and had more in it the whole truck and motor and headers and convertor for $5500 Job one is to get it moving under it's own power. Then we will tackle the small stuff. Stay tuned..............

Sweet ride, when it's running you can put her on the site linked below alone or a package deal w/ the enclosed. (Your not allowed to buy anything off the website listed below so don't be looking) http://www.racingjunk.com/category/28/R ... tml?page=1

 Re: Whatcha think.
That website was in my favorites list before TNCTC was even thought of. You are correct however on me not looking around there as it would defeat the purpose. Now to get the Camero up and running. I need Blazer money Stay tuned.........

 Re: Whatcha think.
Well the old man got ripped. I wasn't on my game, it was raining big time, and the young folks from SC said they would take care of loading all the small parts. NOT!!! When I got home the converter and the headers were nowhere to be seen. I have called Liz and left 4 messages and 2 PM's with no reply. I'm to old to be running around the country to right wrongs so I guess I'll just have to live with it. Being like this sucks.

 Re: Whatcha think.
I called the guy and he said that he thought my car had 2 seats in it and that the radiator was in it. The pics clearly show that the seat is not there but don't have a open hood shot so rad is ? This mess on top of all the other crap that I have going on......

 Re: Whatcha think.
If he's wanting to go faster he doesn't need 2 seats. (Actually some rules pending ET's will for bid them)
Sorry about the deal, maybe in the end it will even up.
