Post Looking for a daily
I sold my 95 civic to my sister in law a couple weekends ago and have been commuting from murfreesboro to west Nashville since then, which is about 40 miles each way. While the burb is comfy, it's not the most nimble or fuel efficient car there is. Now I'm not the kind of guy who sees much point in going into debt to save money, so a new car is not really what I'm looking for but I do want something fun enough to not make me dread spending 90 minutes a day in it. I have been looking at a replacement civic, but they seem to be the car most likely to be ragged out by this generation's teenager and young adult.

Basically I'm looking for something fun to drive that gets good mpg for 3-4k. I'm old enough that good working heat and a/c is a requirement.

Y'all got anything?

I am going to sell my wife's 2002 passat after we get our tax returns. little over 100k, 1.8turbo,auto, a/c and heat. I was thinking of selling it for about that price range. I dunno how soon you are gonna need something, but if you haven't found something in about 6 weeks, maybe we can work something out.

Interesting....

Give me a holler when you're ready to sell. If I haven't gotten anything yet, I'm interested. Thanks!

New daily acquired!

I spent a little more cash than I was looking to spend, but I've always wanted a rolling toaster.

Thanks fellas.

Method, I just filled it up today so I'll know soon. Hoping for low 30s MPG.

Ha!

Filled up yesterday, got 31 mpg after sitting in a lot (and I mean a LOT) of traffic this week.
