Post So apparently
So apparently my truck doesn't have a catalytic converter installed. Found out this morning when I ran it through MARTA. I didn't believe the guy, so I got out and looked for it myself and sure enough - couldn't find one. I ordered a magnaflow universal converter for $60 from amazon, which should get here tomorrow. I called my favorite shop in Murfreesboro, and they said they would install it for $55 so the total bill shouldn't be too bad.

Funny thing is, the cute girl that commented on my truck at the MARTA station last time must've given me a free pass for a year.

Take it when you can get it.

 At least you're getting it taken care of without spending too much. Too bad the cutie wasn't there this time.

No kidding! My sister was forced to sell her Maxina b/c the check engine light would not go off. They tried several time to get it fixed and drove it for 10's of thousands of miles without any problems. Another gov't mandated tax!

There are a few things that irritate me about it. Like how I passed the tailpipe test even without the catalytic converter. Also, I don't get how having 25-50 cars idling in line for 30 minutes each does anything to help air quality.
