Post Project: Voodoo
Cause there must be a voodoo doll out there somewhere with my face on it! I have been a silent member for a couple years waiting for the day I started my project. This project will be kinda slow. I am usually only stateside 45 days a year and I usually don't have time for my toys. I have had this truck for 13 years and have not drove it for 11! All started with a dented rocker and then I couldn't let her be seen that way so then I decided to do a couple other things while I was replacing the rocker........ then life happened. A wife and two kids later and I am finally getting started. So can anybody tell me what this picture might mean?

Production Components in Clinton ! Super cool people to work with. I have made my mind up to only work with good people. I am so tired of rude people. I have a couple dollars burning a hole in my pocket and some companies act like they care to have the business so I will not give them my business. Production Components can take my money any day. And They are local !!!!!!!

Check your upload settings at photobucket. The settings may be making them small as they upload. You can set them to stay full size or other preset dimensions. I just have mine to set at 640x480 as some websites will only allow that size or smaller.

Ok.... I am not calling you guys geeks or nerds or what ever the cool name is these days I am just sayin I am a computer idiot. So, here is a link to my photobucket. I am a Helicopter mechanic and I do all the structural work, (metal work) I work in Afghanistan and in my free time or should I say when I am caught up on all the aircraft work I make things to make time go by and cause I like to make stuff, Lately the guys I work with started asking me for things and started throwing cash at me for things I make. Which I not complaining, it paid for my drop spindles and front disk brake kit! So along with my truck build there is other pictures except most are in reverse order if that makes since. Maybe some day I will be able to work this fancy computer, yeah right huh.

OK, that works. Move the cursor(arrow or hand with pointing finger) over the desired pic. When you do this, a drop menu will appear. When it does, move the cursor to the last line, which is the IMG code. You should be able to left click inside the line. As you click, the line should turn pale yellow and say "Copied....".

Come back here and in the message box, right click the mouse. Another drop menu will appear and just click on "Paste". The [IMG] code will appear, and ahen you click "Submit" the post will show up with the picture.

Make sure to post the IMG code in a new line or it will show up with text off to the side of it, and make it hard to read.

Well I snuck away for a few minutes this morning and went to see Voodoo. Only a truck guy/gal can see the big picture but based on what Chris has done so far all I can say is WOW! This is going to be one fantastically built ride. He has put a lot of thought into it and from what I can see of his craftsmanship, it will be a bench mark for many to strive for.
Since I can't see his pics I don't know if it is visible but he has another really neet project under cover in the back of the shop.

Woody- Thanks for stopping by today, I was really happy to share my current project, it has been a long time in waiting. I have lost so much sleep dreaming of this build, the color, the wheels, etc. I wish I had more time to work on it.
I appreciate the kind words and encouragement. I hope to get the other project out someday!!!! But I am sticking the current one out till its finished. Shes been waiting patiently.

Hopefully on my next trip home I will have my wheels picked out and have a new narrowed rear end ready to go .

Stay tuned!!!!!!!

Slick68, Ron 586, and Madmatt,
You are all welcome. just so there is no confusion or anything, I am a veteran turned contractor. I am here to help the soldiers out. I hope to come home soon. I have been over here for the whole conflict minus two years and a couple vacations. 12 hours a day 7 days a week!
I am still in transit to my base in northern Afghanistan. I have not slept since the night of the 27th and have showered once! Is there anyone that would like to have my socks?... Free of charge!!!!
While I was home I decided I really needed an IPad so I have spent the last couple days and nights looking through all our favorite forums while waiting on flights to get from one base to another.

I will tell you all that I had an awesome vacation in my garage! I have looked at my own pics a million times!
Ok I guess I will shut up..... I have no one to talk trucks with..... So deal with it, LOL (like you cool kids say)

VATRUCKS- Your welcome! And thank you for the compliments. The mailbox was requested by the wife, she has learned over the years that I would rather make something than spend money on and have the same as everyone else. I am always trying to think of an idea for a business, and custom mailboxes was one of them. I researched custom mailboxes and there really is no market for them, unless you want a fish or some other dorky looking mailbox. My wife is sending me a picture soon, since I forgot to take one before I left and I will post it. I welded up a frame and pole and had it power coated the same color as my chassis. The pictures do it no justice in my opinion. I plan on making more and trying to market them, but it might be a while. If your interested let me know. They are made of 301 stainless so it will last forever.
