 Re: My 72 LWB Roadster
Well I got it home. Wasn't the best time to get it but it's supposed to rain here the rest of the week. It got a little dirty while we were loading. I will clean it up later. I have only 2 weeks till my knee surgery so I will put together what I can. At least it is home where I can work on it. I will get some more pics later this week.

 Re: My 72 LWB Roadster
In my haste to get things done before my surgery I messed up. While checking the turn signals and lights I left the key on. Been almost 3 weeks since I have been to the shop. Yesterday I thought I would take it out for a drive. Moved everything around so I could get out. Got in and reached for the key and noticed it was ON! Tried a battery charger for few hours yesterday with no luck. I guess my Optima battery is toast.

 Re: My 72 LWB Roadster
Looking good! I was wondering about the small pics as well. I clicked on the magnifying glass in the upper right corner of the pic background area on Photobucket, & it blew up the pic. It might be a little grainy, but it's much easier to see!
Also, regarding the Optima, I think it requires a slow charge. I had one (red top) on my old S-10 that I accidentally drained. If I'm not mistaken, it wouldn't ever charge doing a quick charge at Pep Boys. They deemed it a bad battery. Just before deciding to scrap it, I took it to a different parts store (Advance) that recommended the slow/long charge. Sure enough that did the trick. It was a 6 year old battery & still going strong when I sold the truck.

Well I just got a surprise. I just got a text from Brian. The Roadster won "Best Under Construction" The judges had written Ward instead of Wood on the sheet. Quite a shock.

 Re: My 72 LWB Roadster
Had plans to install the windshield on Friday. When the installer arrived we found a chip on the bottom about the size of a dime. This windshield has sat outside next to building for 3 years. I brought it in last weekend to clean it up. No chip then. I placed the windshield on the truck for a test fit and left it there all week. When we removed it there it was. I don't know what happened. I was afraid it would continue to crack so we didn't install it. Will have a new one on Monday.
