Post Chucks SWB Fleetside
I started another project. I got a frame and bed from a member on the other board and a cab from Mike. Its an AZ cab. the frame has a 73 up front end. The bed consists of new bedsides and a nice tailgate and woodbed cross sills. And a headgate that I'm not sure if I'm going to use. I took the windshield out and the frame looks good.
I am still in the planning stage but I think its going to be a stripped down looking truck.
454 mtr auto.

All the paint has come off of the roof and It is brown primer like whats on the doors.

I cleaned a little on the frame. It looks like it had been blasted at one point and partially primed. I cleaned and primed a little on the pass. side.

I have thought that out too. I just can't sacrifice a bed for one though. Maybe one day when I have too many beds. lol

:cogratulations: Great looking collection of parts you got going on. If it turns out half as nice as the one you just sold it will be a good build. Good luck sir on your build and I will be tagging along on this one. :gi: :exit:

Good looking truck!! I noticed you have a 4wd transmission hump. I have an hump thats 4 the 2wd with just the 4spd opening if you wanted to trade. Im building a 4wd and i was just gonna cut the whole in it. Just thought Id offer. One less whole to fill since your running an auto.

I told my wife that I wanted to blast the frame and cross sills on the bed and she bought me a blaster for Christmas. It was on sale so its an early Christmas present. When it warms up I'll use it.

Chuck, I've bought parts from you and you have gave me some that you didn't need and were in your way. I consider you a good friend and don't think you have done nobody no wrong. If you can use the parts that you correctly asked for a price on and got it. You will be doing wrong If you don't take them. Just an old man passin' his thoughts. :exit:

Well I didn't think I was doing anything wrong either but buying parts. But I guess I'm not allowed to :floored: . Anyways somebody must have read their comments again and decided they would be better off deleting the whole thread  . Oh well, life goes on and I'll just buy new parts from ECE and parts from the 67-72 Chevy trucks board for my project. I scored a nos big block fan shroud and some backup lenses today. I also got some Chromed GMC hubcaps for it. I still need to finish up my stock wheel project. I'm widening some to 8''. I wish it would warm up so I could do some blasting. This cold weather is getting old fast.

I think you should post the parts with price again and give thelonerife dibs for 2 or 3 days. If he don't buy them move on to the next best offer in line.

"note" The views expressed above are mine and not necessarily the boards. Thanks

I didn't see the thread and don't know how each post was worded so based on that, I would relist it state it as a package for XXX$$ and that if it doesn't sell in or by then the parts will be sold individually. Just my 2 cents worth.

Post Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside
I couldn't do my fuel lines today since my son has his couch on the back of my truck. He and his gf are getting an apt around the first so it'll be gone soon. I decided to clean and prime my door panels.

I'm debating on changing my interior color from blue to black like my dash pad door panels, seat and belts, I have a new rubber floor mat and dash bezel and of corse my tilt is black, and those items look great. I'm also thinking of going with new black 3 point seat belts.

Chuck,

Tilt looks great, heard he's kinda pricey, was it really worth it?

(Wanting mine done, but trying to justify the $ I don't have)

Post Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside
I hear ya Dwane. I had a hard time finding blue seat belts that even looked halfway good. I thought of getting some redone but then I wouldn't have three point either. So I think I'll just have to go aftermarket and go black.

Craig, I think it was worth it. He uses all new parts and does a good job. Of corse I sent him a truck tilt I had so I didn't have to buy one and then get it rebuilt. I see new ones in lmc for 499 and most people want 500 for a rebuilt one.
But anything thats done right as it is, is gonna cost. quality=$
