Post Re: Project: "UnderHaulin"
Thanks Luv, just wanted to make sure you guys had seen it. I sure wouldn't want that thread to turn into a bashing, since you guys have done SO much good work. You don't deserve any bashing, that's for sure. It takes very special people to do what you guys have done and I salute you all for that. After I saw that post I sent Tiffany an email to check up on her. I hadn't heard from her in a long time. This was her reply:

Post Re: Project: "UnderHaulin"
I have tried sifting through the lengthy forum to see where this project is taking place. I thought it may have been in Clinton, TN... which is somewhat close to me. I would like to lend a hand anyway I can. If someone could send me specific and get me up to date, that'd be GREAT. Thanks in advance.

CC13, here is the link to the big board thread http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/show ... 20&page=49
The project has certainly gone into limbo but would like to get it going again. If you read the last few pages of the thread you will get an idea of where it went and why.
Any help will be appreciated especially if there are body and fab talents. As you said, I am about (maybe a little less) than an hour from you so any time you can come let me know, weeknights are limited but can do it and most Sat.

If we had Vendors this thing would be a lot further
along cause I'd be donating the *extra above and
beyond the Site's needs to get this thing finished.

Maybe the economy will rebound in 2013 and some
people can get over that way to help get Cab done.

I think it will pick up speed if the cab was in place
& the rest of the truck could start coming together.

:gi:

*Never made any $ off this site
& I never plan to in the future!

Hey guys, is this project dead in the water?
Any chance the truck can be just put back together like it is, so Dawn can have her truck back?
I rarely see any of you guys on the big-board anymore.

Dunno, 5 Hrs away so I haven't been much help
except Our Board getting $ for the Floor Section.

Woody now has Internet at Home so maybe he
will see this and respond to it this weekend ?

Kinda sucks, but everyone is pointing fingers
and nobody is stepping up to help Woody out.

(Main reason I'm not over there as much now)

I think the biggest reason is the "new" has worn out and too many are not close enough. More than anyone, I would like to see it done. I guess if it were in everyone elses shop they might feel different.

:flag: :agree: It's too bad that we are going to get the blame for this not getting done sooner. But the people who know should not be pointing any fingers. :phatyo: :exit:

Hey Woody, now that the 'honey moon' is over... i can probably get up there fri,sat I work 4 10 m-thurs. I have a small mig, if that helps... also pretty crafty and as far as the mechanics I can do anything except rebuild transmissions. Hit me up so I can get it worked in on my calander, plus I have 2-4 auto mechanic students (Juniors and Seniors) who would be great for hold/lifting, moral support etc.

Sounds great! I am looking at possibly the 29/30th of this month. I am off that week but have a couple of things up in the air. I will make the anouncement of when as soon as possible.

Post Re: Project: "UnderHaulin"
Looks like the Nashville Mafia
will be taking it over. Lack of
Bodywork skills killed this off,
& lack of funds for nicer Cab,
hopefully they can resurrect it.

(Our only Vendor Tim helped
support the Repro Cab Floor,
by Us using his Vendor $$$)

Seems our Board is taking on
most of the blame for Project,
which is funny cause this was
never Our project in beginning.

I will be glad to see it finished
no matter who does the work.

Post Re: Project: "UnderHaulin"
Royo,

He's actually a member here also. Funny thing is
people ask me all the time why I'm no longer an
active Member over there? I never do bash them,
and was starting to post more often again, but I
do believe this will put an end to me over there.

TN is longer across than most states and people
assume we are all very close to each other, and
to call me out like that over my cookouts didn't
sit well with me when there are tons of people
in that thread besides me who could help. Said
it was because I responded 1st, lol no worries,
I won't be responding over there anymore now
and even if he comes here and reads this, not
responding here either cause subject is dead.

TNCTC will go down as the Board who failed on
this project, personally I don't care, let em all
blame us, just proves we are bigger than they
are even though we have less Board Members.

I started this board in fall of 07, this project
was started in 08, at the time we had Tim as
Our Vendor. I took all the Money Tim donated
and subtracted cost of running this board plus
some donations and Tim got us the Cab floor
at his cost. When Tim sold out, we lost that
lil bit of $ that I was using for stuff like this.
If we still had Vendors that truck would be a
lot further along, but we don't, so oh well.

Brian's group in Nashville have more resources
than we will ever have and the skills to finish
this project. Trai lives near Nashville also so
maybe he can be more involved, or like they
said just turn this over to Rusbuilt from here.

I truly hope it gets finished someday, but in
light of how things are being said I no longer
wish to be apart of it, or associated with it.

I wish them the best and hope it make it into
an article or a magazine someday because it's
a great story & it really does needs to be told.
