Post Posting Photos
I notice every now and then that we get some users who aren't familiar with how to post photos. You can skip this if you know how. Just figured this might help someone.

The most common way people post photos on the board is by uploading them to Photobucket and then pasting the link to their photo here.

After you have uploaded a photo in photobucket you just hover your mouse over a picture and you'll see the drop down box like below. You want to click on the IMG Code. Once you click on it it will be copied.

Image

After you have it copied you come back here and paste it in a reply box by either right clicking and choosing paste or hitting Ctrl + V.

You should end up with something like below.

You can also post images that you find anywhere on the net. (Instructions for users of Firefox) Find the image you want to post here and right click on it. A box will pop up and you want to choose "Copy Image Location".

Come back here and click the Img button and paste the link to the image between the Img code.

Hope that helps a few folks.

**When we upgrade to PHPBB3 users will be able to upload and paste their photobucket pictures without ever leaving our site.

What would it take to be able to post pictures straight off of your computer- without going through Photobucket etc ???

Lots of $$$. No, the real reason is because it would probably slow our server down too much. Hosting with Photobucket uses their servers resources and not ours.

It would slow down our server and make Board slower.

Without major sponsors we are limited to what we can
do, or not do, to the forum. Maybe 1 day it's possible?

We can look into it. I use Amazon to host some critical files for one of my sites and it's very cheap. I am sure at some point we could integrate that into the site if we need to.

I have tried to integrate Photobucket into the site as much as possible with the Photobucket box below the posting area. To me that's actually just as easy as uploading photos to the board the regular way.

That makes sense. Probably the reason I can see some of the pics that were loaded to the board early one but none of the later ones. Seems all photo accounts are blocked by the state.
