Post Help with this Intake Manifold
I bought some headers off a guy a few weeks ago and he has this manifold for sale.

I just want a basic manifold so I can bolt up a 4 barrel carb. I don't know anything about manifolds or what kind of carb this manifold will accept. Will this work for me?

Thanks

Yep that looks like a basic SBC 4 BBL intake. What carb are you going to run?

Dunno. What kind of carb should I be looking for? I wanna stay small. I don't need a huge carb on this stock 307.

Quadrajet should work just peachy with that intake.

Check with Woody- I had given him one at Ron's meet earlier this year- you can have it if he doesn't have plans for it- it will need to be rebuilt. I also have a Holley 600 that I have $45 in- if you want that- it would also need rebuilt.

The thing about Q-jets is they have really small primaries which is good for cruizing and economy. The secondaries are huge but are varible CFM which makes them work well on any engine discplacement. D, the carb you gave me is going on my 4X4 but I do have some other cores we could fix for you Trai.

I can pick up some cores cheap Woody. I see them on Craigslist all the time. Do you have someone up there that can rebuild one?

I saw that also. Pretty good article. I am going to start working on a tech faq for the board on rebuilding Q-jets.

lol probably not enough for a 20 oz. I had it for sale and nobody took it and I got tired of moving it. I had it boxed up and everything for shipping quotes. i don't have enough storage space right now.
