Post Goodguys 2015 Nashville Nationals (May 15-17)
Planning to go to the show with my dad. He wants to bring his rat rod up for the car corral. I was also contemplating bringing my 18" wheels to sell at the swap meet. However, I have a question for those who have attended before. What is the setup like? Are the car corral vehicles all grouped into one section, while the swap meet is also to an area of its own? The reason I ask is because dad was wondering if I might be able to set up my wheels where his rat rod is located in the car corral. It would no doubt save some money to do it this way, but I'm not sure that's allowed. And I'm not sure how much traffic the car corral area will get as opposed to the swap meet. I mean how many folks who go to look for parts will actually swing by the car corral area as well? If my wheels are in the corral, I'm not sure how many people might notice them.

Anyway, any details/thoughts/opinions are greatly appreciated. Also, be sure to post here if you plan to attend. It would be good to meet some of you guys!

Been all over the Goodguys site & just decided to click a link to https://jeffjohnsonmotorsports.com/nashville.php ....it answered my question, because it says if you have additional parts to sell, vehicles are also allowed for sale in the swap meet. So, we should be good to go!

Looks like the weather isn't going to treat us kindly. Hope we can catch up with each other! If you make it over to the swap meet, look for me. Dad will have this thing there:

I'm out, weather is going to NOT be pretty.

2 hours each way + gas, food, admission
= not worth it. Sux cause I planned to go
after the other show I attend cancelled.

It was a mix, so I wouldn't say good. I started to go Friday but didn't have my wheels quite ready. The rain chances held off, & it ended up being great weather. Saturday morning dad & I woke up early to sprinkling rain. When we got to Nashville & into the swap meet around 8am, it came a downpour before we even got the trailer unhooked. It then proceeded to rain off & on till a little after noon I think. Then it cleared off the rest of the day. It came one downpour for about 5 minutes today, but it was otherwise just partly cloudy. The guy set up next to us on Saturday said there weren't many sellers on Friday. Saturday was decent but not full, & Sunday was pretty scarce. I guess the rain scared off most of the potential buyers, as well as many sellers. We didn't have any luck selling our stuff. On a positive note, I was able to catch up with Bryan (5150) today before it was all over. I took some pics today, but I never made it over to the other areas on Saturday. Being in the swap meet, I missed out on a lot. Next time I'll make it a priority to check out everything I can.
