Post Woody's 4th Annual "Meet and Greet"
Time has come again for the "Woody's Meet and Greet" :ron:

It will be on Saturday, Sept 4th (Labor Day weekend) from
whenever the first one gets there until the last one leaves.

There are places for tents for those who would like to camp
out & motels forty minutes or less from me. For those who
want to come early or stay late, Norris lake is about fifteen
minutes away so bring your Boats and/or PWC's to make a
weekend of it. (Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are close also)
For those of you that come on Friday, we will be going to
"Pete's Place on the Lake" for dinner that evening.

Menu this year will be "Deli" style sandwiches, it's just
too dang hot to grill. We will supply the meats, cheeses,
bread and condiments. Alsothere will be 'tater salad and
cole slaw also. I know it's not anything really creative but
everyone seems to enjoy it.

If you have a specialty something you would like to bring,
let me know and I will add it to the list.

Here is the list so far as to who is comming and what they are brining:

George,Gman69: Fresh baked (in my oven) cookies.
Craig and Roxy, Luv2xclr8
Dwayne, DP: Bean Salad, Hot Sauce and desert
George and Sharon, Cyclone44
Josh & Jewels
Roy + 2
Todd, Retodd + 1

Our plan is to do a little work on Project "UnderHaulin" and
we might even stray to some other projects if time allows.

Please send me PM if you need directions to my House.

Hickory Star Motel and Marina

Yeah, David they might not. They usually tend to go do the tourist thing when they come in(Dollywood, Splash Country, shows in PF, etc.) They may want to spend time with us that evening though, so we may be able to make it up this time. We may not get to stay all day though.

I'd love to be able to go this year, but my father's day present this year was tickets to the "new" Southern 500 cup race here in Atlanta. I hope everybody has a great time. Maybe next one.

I know, it's not been the same. I will say it is a little better this year. The governing body is realizing that in the name of safety and equalness they are killing it.

Hate you have to miss Woody's, but .... :phatyo: . Would love to catch an Atlanta race. Can't believe we don't have more Nascar fans on this board.

I'm definitely a fan. I've been to 3 nextel cup races in Atlanta and being there in person can make a fan out of you for sure. I'm hoping to make it to Talledega one day. Awesome racing and "interesting" people.

Had season tickets to Bristol till this year. Track is not the same since they changed the banking. Camping got too high, 200. for a spot in hay field. Go to Talladega every fall race. You can camp for free. See lots of sights. Love Atlanta too.

Going to have to wait and see. I seem to get punished for asking for days off, especially this past weekend. I hate that I missed Ron's and unsure about this one.

I understand. Tell them you'll pull your shift at the store in Knoxville then come on up.

The first time I went to Woody's I missed the first turnoff on the main road (following the GPS), and turned off a mile or so past that. It took us around some curvy road no more than a car width wide and I followed a team of horses all the way out that road. I bet I drove through 100 pounds of horsecrap.

Needless to say, I felt right at home. :floored:

Im not going to be able to make it this year. I was hoping I could talk the wife into going to her favorite place (gatlinburg) but the new house should be finished by the end of the month so well be moving then. Maybe next year though. Hope everyone has a great time.

Soooooo?

Someone I know told of a couple that he has a big garage/workshop out back complete with bathroom and kitchen. When they have a disagreement, he'll be gone for days.
